The Detriment of Political Power
In the grand scheme of time and space, nothing has a losing record more deplorable than that of the truth. As the Democratic Party recovers from getting the mortal shit kicked out of them last week and the Republican Party snakes its way into the reins of power, we understand how meaningless politics is. Yes, politics is meaningless. Political power does not alleviate our problems. It metamorphosizes regular people into tribalistic lunatics.
In the past week, I’ve watched fellow citizens rip one another to shreds over their cults, instead of blaming the oligarchy, the ruling leviathan that limits our options and treats us with the dignity of cattle, for their angst and rage. People I have been nothing but a friend to have threatened me with lost friendship for believing the things I believe. Woe and good riddance to anyone who severs relationships over politics, for they have relinquished themselves of their humanity. You’re simply doing thy master’s bidding — how pitiful a creature, thy politics has made you.
Political power is detrimental to the advancement of our species. Rejecting earthly authority as it stands, and the primitive-but-nefarious systems it creates, comes with such frigid isolation that independent thought is a synonym for crime.
